A company in the utilities sector is looking for a Finance and Billing Specialist to process utility invoices and reconcile billing data. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3–5 years of relevant experience. Capture, validate, and process utility invoices accurately and efficiently.
Reconcile billing data to ensure alignment with client and supplier information.
Support the monthly billing cycle and assist in resolving billing discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and organized billing records and documentation.
Review billing data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company and client standards.
Escalate anomalies or inconsistencies to the Team Lead for resolution.
Follow internal procedures and controls to maintain billing integrity and compliance.
Work closely with the billing and finance teams to ensure smooth workflow and accurate reporting.
Contribute to process improvements and support ad-hoc reporting or analysis.
Participate in training to build expertise in utility billing systems and Australian market requirements.
3–5 years of work experience, preferably in finance, billing, or data administration.
Exposure to the utilities or accounting sectors will be advantageous (but not required).
Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel and data management tools.
Strong numerical and analytical ability.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Organised and able to manage time effectively, comfortable working independently during early morning hours.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Eagerness to learn and grow within a structured, supportive environment.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
