Qualifications

• B. Cur/Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery is required.
• Current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Post basic qualification in Critical Care Nursing Science is required.
• BLS qualification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, coordinate and oversee the unit's operations.
• Quality, Risk and emergency preparedness.
• Patient Advocacy and internal/external relationships.
• Customer Service Delivery and Excellence.
• Build working relationships across teams to enhance delivery and innovation.
• Coordinate, monitor and supervise the performance of direct reports.
• Monitor costs within approved budget to improve efficiency.

To take responsibility for efficiently leading all activities within the Unit, providing leadership and direction to all staff, and promoting quality patient care and patient experience through operational excellence whilst maintain the highest standards of professionalism and respect. In addition, to ensure cost effective service delivery within legal parameters, policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications

• B. Cur/Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery.
• Current registration with South African Nursing Council.
• Post basic qualification in Critical Care Nursing Science.
• BLS Qualification.
• 3+ years' experience at a managerial/supervisory level.
• Experience in Critical care Nursing.
• Experience within a private hospital environment advantageous.
