This role is crucial for assessing and managing risks associated with insurance applications, ensuring the profitability and solvency of the company. You will be responsible for reviewing submissions, applying underwriting guidelines, and making informed decisions on policy acceptance, pricing, and terms. Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze insurance applications to assess risk exposure and determine eligibility.
• Apply underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures consistently to make sound decisions on new business and renewals.
• Calculate premiums and set appropriate terms and conditions for policies to ensure profitability.
• Collaborate with brokers and agents to gather necessary information and clarify policy details.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance underwriting , preferably in a similar line of business.
• Solid understanding of risk assessment principles, insurance products, and market dynamics.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to effectively interact with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in underwriting software and MS Office Suite.
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACII, INFP) are an advantage.
