Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Warehouse Administrator to operate and manage the underground warehouse, including receiving, storing and issuing materials for mine operators. You will maintain records, perform cycle counts and prepare stock reports, ensuring safe operations in line with EHS policies.

The role requires Matric, 2+ years in warehousing/mining, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently in underground conditions. Logistics certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Warehousing, Distribution, Supply chain or Mining.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to work independently and efficiently in an underground environment.
• Certificate in Logistics or Supply Chain. (Advantageous)
• Strong customer/client service focus.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Business and process improvement mindset.
• Adaptable to change.

Responsibilities

• Account for all materials and audits goods received into warehouse.
• Receive, store and issue materials accurately, while maintaining required records and reports.
• Manage inventory control through regular cycle counting and full stock takes to maintain accurate stock records.
• Prepare and analyse daily, weekly and monthly reports on stock control, stock issues and inventory performance.
• Ensure the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.
• General warehouse maintenance and housekeeping.
• Comply with all aspects of the Sandvik EHS policy and any reasonable instruction, procedures or systems of work.
