Job summary

UKAS Accredited Asbestos Consultancy in Motherwell is recruiting an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst to cover a busy portfolio across the Central Belt of Scotland. You must be signed off for all asbestos survey types and analytical duties, with opportunities for overtime and progression.

The role involves conducting management, refurbishment and demolition surveys, sampling, 4-stage clearances, air monitoring and producing detailed reports for clients across commercial and industrial sites.

Qualifications

• Proven track record working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst.
• Must hold the BOHS P402, P403 and P404 or RSPH equivalents
• Good understanding of UKAS, HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
• Able to confidently articulate technical matters to clients
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Proficient using IT software

Responsibilities

• Conducting management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys
• Re-inspection surveys
• Collecting ACM samples from site
• Carrying out 4 stage clearances
• Full air monitoring, including: background, re-occupation, presonal, smoke and leak
• Ensuring removals projects are completed within agreed industry compliance guidelines
• Collating findings to produce detailed technical reports
• Creating schematic drawings
• Providing regular updates and technical reports to clients

Skills

Proven track record as Asbestos Survey

Understanding of UKAS, HSG 264 and HSG

Ability to articulate technical matter
