Job summary

Pedros Chicken is seeking a Turret Truck Operator to safely operate turret trucks and warehouse equipment. The role supports receiving, storage, replenishment, picking and movement of stock with a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety.

You will ensure stock is stored in correct locations, replenished on time, and picked according to system instructions while adhering to FIFO/FEFO where applicable. The position requires shift availability and a good safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution centre environment.
• Valid turret truck licence/certification.
• Demonstrated ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Basic knowledge of warehouse procedures and stock handling.
• Ability to read and follow picking, put-away and replenishment instructions.
• Willingness and ability to work shifts according to operational requirements.
• Physically capable of performing the duties associated with the position.
• Commitment to health, safety, housekeeping and company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate turret trucks and warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to support receiving, storage, replenishment, picking and movement of stock.
• Ensure stock is stored in correct locations and picked according to system instructions and procedures.
• Carry out daily pre-operational and safety inspections on equipment.
• Follow FIFO/FEFO principles where applicable and report discrepancies.
• Replenish picking locations from reserve stock as required and prioritize tasks.
• Assist with daily cycle counts and inventory control activities.
• Follow warehouse SOPs, work instructions and quality standards.
