Job summary

Road Accident Fund is seeking a Driver/Messenger to safely transport people, documents and goods within a defined area. The role requires adherence to safety procedures, timely deliveries and diligent reporting of delays and vehicle issues.

The successful candidate will maintain logbooks, handle mail processing, and support lightweight admin tasks such as copying, binding and archiving in line with RAF RM strategies.

Qualifications

• Matric or Grade 12 certificate.
• Valid code 10 (EC1/EC) driver’s license.
• Professional Driver’s Permit.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport people, documents and/or goods within an assigned area.
• Follow safety procedures and road safety rules; report defects, delays and incidents.
• Plan routes, load/unload merchandize and ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain logbooks and records of daily visits; obtain receipts or signatures.
• Process incoming/outgoing mail, batching and documentation per SOP.
• Support administration tasks including copying/binding and archiving as required.
