Job summary

The Recruiters in Johannesburg is seeking a highly accurate and discreet trust accounting professional to manage client trust accounts and essential financial transactions.

You will oversee reconciliations, regulatory compliance, and reports, coordinating with internal finance teams while keeping meticulous records and protecting confidential funds. Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Trust Accounting.
• Experience with reconciliations and financial administration.
• Xero experience advantageous.
• Experience in a private wealth or wealth management environment.
• Attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Strong organisational skills and discretion with client funds.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure trust transactions comply with applicable financial and regulatory requirements.
• Process authorised payments and disbursements.
• Prepare trust-related financial reports and schedules for management.
• Liaise with internal finance teams to ensure accurate transfer of fees between trust and operating accounts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Deal with banking partners and resolve transaction-related queries when required.

• Oversee the day-to-day administration of client trust accounts
• Capture and process receipts, payments, transfers and other banking transactions
• Complete regular reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
• Ensure all trust transactions comply with applicable financial and regulatory requirements
• Process authorised payments and disbursements
• Prepare trust-related financial reports and schedules for management
• Liaise with internal finance teams to ensure accurate transfer of fees between trust and operating accounts
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
• Deal with banking partners and resolve transaction-related queries when required

Requirements:

• Relevant Accounting or Finance qualification
• Minimum 3 years'' experience in Trust Accounting
• Strong reconciliation and financial administration experience
• Xero experience would be advantageous
• Experience within a private wealth or wealth management environment
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• High level of integrity and discretion when handling client funds

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.
