Job summary

Beaver Immigration Consulting in South Africa seeks an experienced Truck Mechanic for an employer-sponsored relocation to Belgium. Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Mechanic, or Heavy Vehicle Technician.
• A recognised qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Automotive Mechanics, or a related trade (preferred).
• 3-5 years' experience maintaining and repairing commercial trucks or heavy vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on commercial trucks.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults across a range of truck brands.
• Inspecting, servicing, and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and brake systems.
• Completing repairs in line with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Carrying out welding and light fabrication work where required.
• Repairing and replacing truck curtains and tarpaulins.
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals and workshop documentation.
• Completing workshop records accurately.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment.
• Working closely with the workshop team to maximise fleet reliability and minimise downtime.

About the Role

As a Truck Mechanic , you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a fleet of modern commercial vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and roadworthy.

We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Mechanic, or Heavy Vehicle Technician
• A recognised qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Automotive Mechanics, or a related trade (preferred)
• 3-5 years' experience maintaining and repairing commercial trucks or heavy vehicles
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working on hydraulic, pneumatic, and braking systems
• A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and as part of a professional workshop team

Advantageous Experience

• Welding and fabrication
• Truck curtain and tarpaulin repairs
• Experience working with multiple commercial truck brands

Language Requirement

• Afrikaans proficiency is essential for this opportunity.
• Good English communication skills are also required.

Candidate Requirements

• South African citizen
• Willing and able to relocate to Belgium
• Valid passport (or willing to obtain one)
• Able to work permanent day shifts
