The position of Driver 1Ton has become available at Triton Express in East London.

Responsibilities

• Distributing and collecting of client’s cargo
• Assisting with loading and offloading of cargo from the vehicle
• Collecting of daily delivery sheets
• Completing of daily delivery sheets
• Collecting of daily collection sheetsCompleting of daily collection sheets
• Daily pre trip inspection of vehicle
• Vehicle fault reporting – as when required
• Ensuring care is taken when client’s cargo is being loaded and off loaded from vehicle
• Ensuring that the addresses given for deliveries / collections is correct
• Ensuring that contact is kept with depot at all times
• Ensuring that no deviations from delivery / collection sheets takes place without authorization

Requirements

• Grade 12 minimum (Matric)
• 1-2 years driving experience would be preferable but not a prerequisite
• A valid unendorsed driver’s license A good geographical knowledge of the area of responsibility
• Ability to work under pressure
• A good command of the English language both verbally and written
• Ability to communicate both internally and externally
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to work overtime as and when required due to clients requirements
