Job summary

LulaBet, based in Cape Town CBD, is seeking a Treasury Accountant to oversee cash management, banking relationships, payments, and reporting. The role sits in a high-volume, hybrid environment within a fast-growing iGaming business.

You will manage cash flow forecasts, reconciliations, and treasury controls, working closely with the Finance Manager and Payments team to support liquidity, regulatory compliance, and accurate month-end reporting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of treasury, finance or accounting experience.
• Bachelor's/Diploma in Accounting or Finance required.
• Treasury qualification is advantageous.
• Experience with cash flow forecasting and reconciliations.
• Experience managing multiple bank accounts and payment providers.
• iGaming/fintech/payments industry experience advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash balances across all bank accounts and prepare cash flow forecasts.

• Review and process payments; monitor deposits and withdrawals.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Treasury Accountant to join our finance team in Cape Town CBD. The Treasury Accountant is responsible for managing the company's treasury, banking, cash flow forecasting, payment processing, reconciliations, and treasury reporting functions. The role ensures the efficient management of company funds while maintaining strong financial controls and compliance standards.

This position offers a hybrid working model and the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Payments and Financial Managers to support the company's financial operations and growth objectives.

Job Description

Treasury & Cash Management

• Monitor daily cash balances across all bank accounts.
• Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts.
• Manage daily funding requirements.
• Ensure sufficient liquidity for operational requirements.
• Monitor call account and investment balances.

Banking Administration

• Manage banking relationships.
• Facilitate account openings and maintenance.
• Maintain banking access controls and mandates.
• Assist with banking compliance and due diligence requests.

Payments & Funding

• Review and process payment runs.
• Monitor daily deposits and withdrawals.
• Manage treasury funding requirements.
• Coordinate with operational teams regarding payment matters.

Reconciliations

• Prepare daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Reconcile payment provider and settlement accounts.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling differences.
• Ensure accurate posting of treasury transactions.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare daily cash position reports.
• Produce treasury reporting packs.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting processes.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

Compliance & Controls

• Ensure adherence to treasury policies and procedures.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Maintain strong controls over banking and payment processes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and financial reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Treasury qualification advantageous.
• 3–5 years' experience in treasury, finance, or accounting.
• Experience with cash flow forecasting and reconciliations.
• Experience managing multiple bank accounts and payment providers.
• iGaming, fintech, or payments industry experience advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
