Qualifications

Job title: Yard Supervisor

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage yard staff
  • Ensure that correct processes are adhered to with regards to checking in and releasing of vehicles
  • Receive onsite and releases updated daily
  • Conduct stock take on a daily basis
  • Allocate stock stickers to vehicles
  • Update logistics and insurance companies daily
  • Conduct bi-weekly stock take of vehicles on hand and report to management
  • Oversee keys getting tagged coming in and going out
  • Assist the National Manager with code changes
  • Liaise with client and insurance queries
  • Allocate stock to correct insurance companies
  • Manage APP phones
  • Report faults and queries to Dream Tech
  • Report any deviations, theft and suspicious activities to management immediately
  • Assist assessors and investigators
  • Request demolishing of code 4’s once branch manager has approved
  • Customer personalized items to be removed and stored for safe keeping in the safe
  • Manage process of service books and spare keys
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Contact the clients or insurance company to have the clients’ personal items removed, e.g. towbar, mag wheels and radio
Requirements
  • Matric
  • Tertiary education
  • 3 years Stock Controller experience
  • Experience in a supervisory role within a yard or logistics setting preferred
  • Customer service experience, ideally in motor or insurance industry
  • Microsoft Suite - intermediate
  • Salesforce would be beneficial

Note: Store Keeping/Procurement experience is related to this role.
