Qualifications
- Matric certificate
- 1-2 years' experience in a similar role (transport brokerage, logistics, or supply chain management)
- Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field is advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain relationships with 3rd party transporters
- Negotiate competitive rates with transporters
- Book loads/shipments with 3rd party transporters
- Ensure timely receipt of Proof of Delivery (POD) documents
- Maintain and update the rate sheet for internal stakeholders
- Provide support to all departments across branches with 3rd party transport requirements
- Monitor and report on transport-related performance metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, transit times)
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve any logistical issues
- Manage and track shipments, including tracking, tracing, and expediting as needed
- Collaborate with the operations team, reduce transit times, and improve delivery efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Basic knowledge of logistics and transportation regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with transport management systems (TMS) or logistics software
- A good understanding of math basics (e.g., calculations, conversions) is essential for this role.
