Job summary

A leading food services company in Makhanda is looking for a Training Captain to evaluate training needs and develop training plans. The role focuses on enhancing the operational performance of Team Members through effective training. Responsibilities include conducting team member orientations, training certifications, and ongoing assessments. This position is vital for maintaining high training standards within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct orientation on the starting date for new team members.
  • Train, coach, and certify Team Members.
  • Complete training evaluations to assess knowledge retention.
  • Deliver training to bridge performance gaps.
  • Facilitate New Product Training as per the marketing calendar.
  • Conduct biannual assessments to re-assess knowledge.
  • Assess additional training needs and discuss with Management.
  • Complete learner assessments on every Team Member twice a year.
  • Track and report on training outcomes.
  • Provide feedback to program participants and management.
  • Evaluate and recommend training material and methodology.
  • Maintain employee training records.
Job description

A vacancy exists in the Operations Department for a Training Captain. Reporting to the People Capability Leader, the Training Captain will be responsible for evaluating training needs and current practices in-store and creating and delivering a training development plan complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources such as online modules and guides. He / she will be responsible for improving operational performance of all Team Members. He / she will ensure competently trained CSTMs and FSTMs within set deadlines and will also conduct observation checklists and complete assessments on Team Members to identify gaps.
