Qualifications

  • Valid medical certificate or fitness to obtain one.

  • Develop and implement the HRD strategy for Engineering and Processing divisions.
  • Manage the department's annual budget and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Maintain accreditation with SETA & QCTO and manage all certification processes.

We are seeking a highly experienced Training and Development Manager for a key role within a leading mining and processing operation. This is a critical position responsible for shaping the skills and competencies of the engineering and processing teams, directly impacting operational excellence and safety.

Requirements
  • Grade 12 or NQF 4
  • A formal Metallurgical qualification is essential
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a management position within an Engineering or Processing HRD environment
  • In-depth knowledge of South African skills development legislation and HRD methodologies
  • A valid medical certificate or the fitness to obtain one
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the HRD strategy for Engineering and Processing divisions
  • Manage the department's annual budget and ensure accurate reporting through HRD information systems
  • Maintain accreditation with SETA & QCTO and manage all certification processes
  • Oversee and control risk within the HRD training function
  • Manage the verification of competence for contractor employees
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation (MHSA, Skills Development, EEA, BCEA)
  • Drive change management initiatives to support business transformation
