Job summary

The Recruitment Pig is offering a Trainee Strip and Assembler position in Springs / Brakpan, East Rand, Gauteng. You will learn by doing, taking apart damaged truck cabs and components under skilled supervision, and contribute to fleet repair projects.

Ideal candidates have Matric, basic hand tool experience, and a strong willingness to learn. This on-site role provides hands-on training and team-based work in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• Technical Matric (N2/N3) is a strong advantage.
• Basic familiarity using simple hand tools like spanners, sockets, and screwdrivers.
• Genuine interest in commercial trucks, vehicle bodywork, and mechanical repairs.
• Good physical fitness and stamina to handle commercial vehicle parts.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to listen and learn.
• Reliable team player who shows up on time.

Responsibilities

• Take apart damaged truck cabs, bumpers, grilles, and outer body panels safely.
• Tag, catalog, and neatly store all removed hardware and components in bins.
• Help senior artisans disconnect cab wiring, pneumatic lines, and mechanical brackets.
• Fetch replacement body parts, clips, and trim from the parts store.
• Reassemble repaired truck cabs with proper bolts, fittings, and correct panel gaps.
• Refit interior door trims, cab glass, handles, and dashboard panels neatly.
• Keep workshop bays tidy and maintain all hand and air tools.
