Job summary

Old Mutual Life Assurance Company (SA) Ltd is seeking a Senior Traffic Manager in Cape Town to coordinate cross-functional workflows across digital, ATL and BTL projects. You will partner with Account Managers and the Production team to ensure efficient resourcing and on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in traffic management within an advertising agency context, strong MS Office skills, and experience with Chase or similar systems.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification.
• Minimum 5 years working experience as a Traffic Manager, with 2 years working as a Senior Traffic Manager in an Advertising Agency.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and experience with Chase or other traffic management systems.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage key stakeholders and strong admin abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and traffic work into studio, social media, strategy and content marketing from small tasks to large workflows across digital, BTL and ATL.
• Facilitate creative workflow planning with Account Managers and department heads.
• Interact with Account Managers and the Production team.
• Plan and facilitate planning and key account management meetings.
• Plan and lead capacity planning with the traffic team.

Job Description This exciting role is for a Senior Traffic Manager, based in our Cape Town office. We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills who is able to work along-side Account Managers to ensure projects are resourced to maximum efficiency, while keeping the business, the people and client priorities top of mind. The role requires admin, accuracy and strong attention to detail; the successful candidate must be well-organized and unflappable with extensive experience in an Advertising Agency (Digital, ATL and BTL).

Key Result Areas:

• Schedule and traffic work into studio, social media, strategy and content marketing from small tasks to large workflows across digital, BTL and ATL
• Facilitate creative workflow planning with Account Managers, and department heads.
• Interact with Account Managers and the Production team
• Plan and facilitate planning & key account management meetings
• Plan and find solutions and lead capacity planning with the rest of the traffic team
• Help guide the junior traffic team on their career paths along-side the Operations Manager
• Manage timesheets and reports
• Manage freelancers and submission of invoices

Requirements:

• A relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum 5 years working experience as a Traffic Manager, with 2 years working as a Senior Traffic Manager in an Advertising Agency (Advertising Agency experience is essential)
• Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Word / Excel / PowerPoint etc.)
• Knowledge of and experience in Chase and other traffic management systems is essential
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage key stakeholders
