Job summary

FirstRand Limited seeks a Trading Regulatory Risk Specialist to monitor trading book risk, ensure risk-limit adherence, and provide insights through clear reports and dashboards. You will develop governance policies and align with risk/compliance frameworks while engaging internal and external stakeholders.

The role requires an Honours degree and 3–5 years in trading risk monitoring and reporting, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.

• Strong understanding of trading risks i.e. market risk, counterparty credit risk and non-financial risks.

To interpret regulations, engage with internal and industry stakeholders (BASA), translate regulatory requirements into context, and ensure that the implementation of trading regulatory principles are applied to mitigate regulatory risk and ensure that all reportable metrics are monitored and within acceptable risk tolerance levels.* ### **Are you someone who can:** Monitor trading book risk, ensuring adherence to risk limits and compliance standards. Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
