About the Role

FOCI Group is seeking a qualified and experienced HVAC Artisan to join our Engineering Division.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across commercial, industrial, and institutional environments. This position is ideal for a technically skilled professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, adheres to safety standards, and contributes to the overall efficiency of our engineering operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and service HVAC systems including split units, VRV / VRF systems, chillers, AHUs, ducting, and ventilation systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and system inspections.
• Diagnose faults and carry out corrective actions efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with SANS, OHS, and OEM standards.
• Record service activities, parts usage, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with project engineers and technical teams on installations and upgrades.
• Provide input on energy‑saving and performance‑improvement measures.

Minimum Requirements

• Trade Test Certificate: HVAC Artisan / Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal).

Qualifications

• Minimum N3 to N6 Certificate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in working with VRV / VRF systems, chillers, compressors, and ducting layouts.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Strong understanding of system commissioning, fault diagnosis, and safety protocols.
