A prominent pharmaceuticals company is seeking a Trade Hand in Cape Town to provide support to Artisans in maintenance and project engineering tasks. The ideal candidate should have a Grade 9 qualification and related engineering experience, along with the ability to work in a team and adhere to safety regulations. This position may involve cleaning, painting, and assisting with various engineering tasks.

Qualifications

• Grade 9 or equivalent qualification as per national qualification framework levels SAQA.
• Engineering trade related experience beneficial.

• General painting tasks and assisting with building / paneling / plumbing works.
• Assisting Artisans and contractors with various engineering related tasks.
• Performing tasks as required by the FCC permit to work and OHSE procedures.
• Adhere to all Company OHSE rules and regulations.

Job description

Fine Chemicals Corporation requires the services of highly competent Trade Hand for our Engineering Department.

Overview

To provide Artisans with maintenance and project engineering support as designated.

Responsibilities

• General equipment and facilities and workshop cleaning.
• General painting tasks and assisting with building / paneling / plumbing works.
• Assisting Artisans and contractors with various engineering related tasks.
• Performing tasks as required by the FCC permit to work and OHSE procedures, complying with GMP requirements as outlined by Company SOPs and written instructions in all tasks and activities.
• Adhere to all Company OHSE rules and regulations.

Background / Experience

Grade 9 or equivalent qualification as per national qualification framework levels SAQA. Engineering trade related experience beneficial.

Competencies / Personal Attributes

• Must have ability to work with an honest approach.
• Able to work in a team.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Available for overtime work when required.
