Job summary

NatCarbon Africa seeks a Tractor Driver in the Operations Department for the Spekboom Restoration Project in the Eastern and Western Cape. You will operate and maintain a fleet of tractors and trailers, traveling to field sites and remote locations to support planting and logistics.

The role requires a Code 14 EC license, a tractor and trailer driving background, and the ability to work under challenging conditions, including camping at harvesting sites.

Qualifications

• High School Certificate.
• Code 14 EC driver’s license (or higher).
• At least 3 years of experience driving a tractor and trailer.
• Able to communicate in English and Afrikaans.
• Knowledge of operating farming equipment, machinery and tools.
• Valid tractor operator certificate.
• PDP.
• At least 3 contactable references.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and trailers to transport goods to designated locations.
• Inspect vehicles before and after to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage and fuel consumption.
• Adhere to safety regulations to ensure safety of self and others.
• Camp out on various harvesting sites as required.
• Assist with loading, unloading and other manual labour tasks.
• Coordinate with project teams and reporting to supervisor.
