Track Estate Manager

The newly revamped Hollywoodbets Cape Racing, Kenilworth racing venue has an exciting role available! We are looking to hire a suitably qualified and experienced Track Estate Manager to join our passionate and dedicated team.

The primary purpose of the job is to maintain the racetrack to ensure it is safe for customers and functional according to international standards.

In addition, the Track Estate Manager will ensure that the estate is maintained and cleaned.

The Track Estate Manager will report to the Racing Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure the track is properly maintained; carry out repairs after a race meeting; monitor weekly growth, insect infestation, and diseases and take necessary action; carry out spring treatment; ensure equipment is repaired and maintained; draw up monthly estate report; draw up orders for estate; capture employees clocking and leave forms onto the system; ensure the track is ready for the race meeting; move rails correctly to the designated area; ensure stables are clean and that there is sufficient bedding; ensure gates are open in the business park; ensure starting rails are clean and tested before race meeting; ensure facilities are neat and tidy; check that all equipment is in working order; ensure the track is prepared for gallops and cones are in the designated area; ensure the completion of the departmental job descriptions; ensure the completion of personal development plans for all staff; manage work performance of all employees; manage attendance and absenteeism; manage leave for all staff.
