Eosol Group is seeking a qualified Topographer to join our team for the BelaBela solar project. This is a contract position with an estimated duration of a minimum of 6 months, commencing in January 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for all topographical surveying activities related to the construction of the solar farm.

Role Overview

As a Topographer on the BelaBela project, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the precise execution of the solar farm's construction. Your expertise will be vital in establishing benchmarks, preparing topographical maps, and providing essential data for engineering and construction teams. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of surveying principles, and the ability to work effectively in a project-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting detailed topographical surveys of the project site.
• Establishing and maintaining survey control points and benchmarks.
• Utilizing advanced surveying equipment and technologies (e.g., total stations, GPS/GNSS, drones).
• Preparing accurate topographical maps, plans, and reports.
• Performing volumetric calculations for earthworks and material management.
• Ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborating with engineers, construction managers, and other stakeholders to provide necessary survey data.
• Monitoring and verifying the accuracy of construction activities against design plans.
• Maintaining survey equipment and ensuring its proper calibration.
• Documenting all survey activities and results thoroughly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in topographical surveying.
• Proven experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably in the energy sector.
• Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as total stations, levels, and GNSS/GPS receivers.
• Experience with photogrammetry and drone-based surveying is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in relevant CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and GIS applications.
• Strong understanding of geodetic principles, coordinate systems, and map projections.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to the project site in Bela-Bela.
