Job summary

Together Staffing group in Gauteng seeks a skilled Toolmaker to join our manufacturing facility. This role is for a toolmaker artisan with experience in tool maintenance, repairs, and precision engineering.

You will manufacture, maintain, repair, and modify tooling, read engineering drawings, perform precision machining on conventional equipment, and ensure quality standards while supporting continuous improvement and a safe, organised toolroom.

Qualifications

• Matric and recognised Toolmaker Trade Test are essential.
• Proven experience as Toolmaker in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, precision machining, and drawings.
• Able to fault-find and resolve tooling issues.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, maintain, repair, and modify tooling, dies, moulds, and jigs.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to maximise tooling life.
• Diagnose tooling issues to minimise downtime.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain safe toolroom environment.

Our client is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join their manufacturing facility in Gauteng. This is role for a toolmaker artisan with experience in tool maintenance, repairs, and precision engineering

Key Responsibilities
Manufacture, maintain, repair, and modify tooling, dies, moulds, and jigs
Conduct preventative maintenance to maximise tooling performance and lifespan
Diagnose and resolve tooling issues to minimise production downtime
Perform precision machining using conventional toolroom equipment
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Ensure tooling meets quality standards and production requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimise tooling performance
Maintain a safe and organised toolroom environment

Minimum Requirements
Matric
Toolmaker Trade Test
Proven experience as a Toolmaker within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of tooling, precision machining, and engineering drawings
Experience using conventional toolroom machinery and measuring equipment
Fault-finding and problem-solving skills
