Dis-Chem Pharmacies TLC Head Office is seeking a proactive, organised, and adaptable Receptionist responsible for supporting the company by operating switchboards and connecting callers to the appropriate person(s). Assume the duty of receptionist in order to manage the front desk operations, deliver professional customer service, support the company’s communication through telephone and e‑mail. Perform administrative support to maintain smooth and efficient office operation.
Responsibilities
Front Desk Administration
- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Assist visitors who have appointments, inform relevant person of visitor arrival.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls and e‑mails promptly.
- Use appropriate telephone etiquette when speaking with clients over the phone.
- Provide accurate information regarding company services, staff, or procedures.
- Transfer calls through to relevant department as soon as possible.
- Ensure the caller details and message is accurately conveyed or transferred to relevant person.
- Maintain a tidy and organised reception area.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries.
- Support staff with general office tasks as required.
Customer Service & Communication
- Respond to in‑person, telephone, and e‑mail inquiries promptly and courteously.
- Provide relevant and accurate information to callers regarding their request, questions or concerns.
- Handle basic client concerns or direct them to the appropriate staff member.
Digital & Online Support
- Monitor and respond to customer care queries received via e‑mail or social media platforms.
- Assist in managing social media messages or comments in line with company guidelines.
Qualifications
- Essential: Grade 12 / Matric

- Basic knowledge of administrative support.
