Job summary

Joint Medical Holdings Ltd. is seeking a theatre stock controller with hospital/pharmacy experience to manage and pack stock, track counts and handle consignment stock. The role involves liaising with surgeons and case management for product approvals and billing accuracy.

The ideal candidate will be computer literate (Word/Excel), possess a pharmacy assistance qualification, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills to thrive in a high-pressure theatre environment.

Qualifications

• Must be computer literate in Word and Excel.
• A basic/post basic Pharmacy Assistant qualification would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of stock control including counting and investigations is required.
• 3–5 years hospital/pharmacy experience is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Pack out stock for theatre cases as per slate and surgeon preference.
• Investigate and source new products as requested by surgeons and other users.
• Manage and control theatre stockroom inventory including stock counts at month end.
• Manage and control consignment stock at theatre level.
• Accurate billing of theatre cases to patients accounts.
• Facilitate the trial of new products at theatre level when requested.
• Work with case management to ensure new products are approved by medical aid and funder agreements.
• Facilitate and manage Doctor feedback and/or complaints regarding surgical items.
• Enforce the policy regarding company Representative access to theatre.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(Educational Qualifications & Experience)

• Must be computer Literate Microsoft Word and Excel
• A basic/Post Basic level Pharmacy Assistant qualification or related qualification would be an advantage.
• Must have knowledge of stock control to include count, capture, investigations (Surgical Stock an advantage)
• 3-5 Years Hospital / Pharmacy experience an advantage.
• Must have excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
• Must be able to work under pressure.
• Must be prepared to work Shifts, Weekends, Overtime and Public Holidays
