The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ theatre experience, be registered with the South African Nursing Council, and demonstrate strong communication, teamwork and sterile technique skills.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled Nurse with current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Enrolled Nurse in a Theatre setting.
• Experience as an anaesthetic and circulating nurse.
• Experience in scrubbing and circulating for various surgical procedures.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, anaesthetists, equipment, and sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Aufgaben

• Assist the Registered Nurses and Surgeons during surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the Registered Nurse.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies.
• Ensure the cleanliness and sterility of the operating room.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor patients' recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and follow-up appointments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide the best possible care for patients.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as professional standards and legal requirements.
