Network IT in Paarl, South Africa seeks an experienced Test Engineer to design, develop, document, and enhance test equipment ensuring product quality and reliability. You will build test infrastructure for manual and automated testing, optimize existing systems, and train technical staff across internal and external facilities.

The role requires a B.Eng or MEng in Electronic Engineering, 3+ years in product testing, and strong skills in C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript/HTML/CSS, and PCB design.

Qualifications

• B.Eng or MEng in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product testing or a similar environment.
• Experience with C/C++ or C# software development.
• Proficiency in Python scripting.
• Understanding of web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Knowledge of printed circuit board design (schematics).
• Experience in embedded programming and debugging.

Responsabilités

• Designing and developing product test equipment for the production environment.
• Implementing designs to meet production needs on time.
• Developing test infrastructure for manual and automated testing by product development teams.
• Optimizing and enhancing existing testing infrastructure to minimize test time and cost.
• Maintaining existing test equipment to uphold product quality standards.
• Monitoring and analyzing test data regularly.

• Reporting any issues that may affect product performance, reliability, schedule, cost, or employee performance, and recommending improvements.
• Staying updated with changes in technologies and conducting proof of concept investigations into new tools, methods, and test strategies.
• Possibly traveling overseas to test facilities.
• Training and guiding technical personnel on equipment usage and new technologies.
• Researching new components and technologies as they become available.

Are you an experienced Test Engineer with a knack for designing and implementing innovative test solutions? Our client, located in Paarl, South Africa, is seeking a Test Engineer to join their R&D facility. If you're passionate about pushing the boundaries of test engineering, we want to hear from you.

As a Test Engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, documentation, and enhancement of test equipment to ensure the quality and reliability of products.
