Job description
Introduction

The Tendering Estimator is responsible for preparing competitive, compliant, and profitable tender submissions for engineering, EPCM, and construction projects across mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.

The role requires advanced estimating capability, strong technical understanding, and the ability to develop method statements, project schedules, and resource plans aligned to Dynatron Group's execution standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
A. Tendering & Estimating
  • Analyse tender documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contract conditions (NEC / JBCC / FIDIC).
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site visits and produce technical queries (TQs / RFIs).
  • Engage suppliers for pricing and ensure technical compliance.
  • Compile tender clarifications, assumptions, exclusions, and compliance matrices.
  • Prepare complete tender submissions including methodology, capability statements, CVs, and company profiles.
  • Ensure all submissions are compliant and score optimally.
B. Method Statements & Technical Documentation
  • Develop detailed method statements for mechanical, electrical, civil, and multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Draft risk assessments, quality plans, environmental and SHEQ documentation, and commissioning plans.
  • Translate engineering drawings and specifications into practical execution plans.
  • Prepare technical compliance documents required for tender submissions.
C. Scheduling & Planning
  • Develop fully detailed project schedules using MS Project or Excel.
  • Include WBS, critical path, resource loading, milestones, and procurement timelines.
  • Support planning inputs for extension-of-time claims and negotiations.
  • Assist with project handovers.
D. Internal Coordination
  • Work closely with engineering, QS, procurement, SHEQ, and project managers.
  • Engage subcontractors and suppliers for commercial and technical inputs.
  • Attend tender briefing and clarification meetings.
  • Present risks, opportunities, and strategy to the Head of Bids.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • National Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil) OR
  • Diploma in Quantity Surveying / Construction Management
  • Additional training in estimating, planning, or project management is an advantage.
