Job summary

VKB Group is seeking a diligent Packer for a fixed-term 6-month contract to support the milling process. You will ensure correct packaging, maintain product separation, and help with palletising and storage while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires physical stamina, accuracy, and reliability, with a willingness to work shifts and weekends. A strong team attitude and adherence to VKB values are essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4.
• Experience loading and offloading stock.
• Experience maintaining a clean and organised work area.
• Exposure to stock control activities.
• Ability to perform physically demanding manual labour.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Willingness to work a seven-day work week (Mon–Sun).
• Willingness to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Package milled products according to established procedures and standards.
• Use correct packaging materials to prevent product contamination.
• Prevent mixing of different milled products during packaging and storage.
• Bag, package, palletise, and store products per SOPs.
• Maintain compliance with food safety and workplace safety requirements.
• Assist with stock handling, loading and offloading activities.
• Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work environment.
• Report quality or packaging concerns to the supervisor.
• Support production targets as required.
