Position : Telephone Clinician

Lyra Southern Africa is recruiting a Telephone Clinician for the National Support Centre Department.

Reporting to the NSC Team Leader, you will support the company's growth and serve as a role model for expected behaviours and attitudes.

This is a full‑time position working from Saturday to Wednesday, on a shift basis.

The role involves conforming to call centre conditions and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide the first point of contact for employees accessing Lyra Southern Africa services.
  • Deliver services to callers professionally and respectfully, adhering to agreed standards.
  • Accurately record all relevant information in the database for clinical management.
  • Follow all clinical protocols and operational standards.
Qualifications
  • Master's Qualification in Clinical / Counselling / Educational Psychology with HPCSA registration.
  • Honours Qualification as a Clinical Social Worker with SACSSP registration.
  • Bachelor's Psych Degree with HPCSA registration as a registered counsellor.
  • Ability to provide counselling in English and Afrikaans.
  • Experience in delivering short‑term therapy.
Skillset
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments in the moment.
  • Experience working within a structured call centre environment.
  • Ownership and pragmatic problem‑solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Solution Focused Therapy.
