Job summary

BLU by Adcorp SA is seeking a proactive Project Manager with at least 3 years of proven experience to lead end-to-end project delivery. You will plan, execute and close projects on time and within budget, with a focus on POTN initiatives to ensure network resilience and performance.

Key duties include project planning, POTN execution, site surveys and management in the Johannesburg region, stakeholder liaison, risk and cost control, quality assurance and regular reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
• Experience with POTN or similar infrastructure projects.
• Valid South African driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Manage all POTN-related technical aspects of network projects.
• Coordinate site surveys, construction, installation and commissioning in Johannesburg region.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and utilities to secure approvals and compliance.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Track costs, procure materials, and ensure budget adherence.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality policies.
• Provide regular status updates to management on milestones and resource needs.

Job description

We are looking for a proactive Project Manager with a minimum of 3 years of proven experience to manage end-to-end project delivery. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. Your primary focus will be on POTN related initiatives, ensuring network resilience and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• POTN Execution: Manage all technical aspects of Power and Telecommunications/Transport network projects, including fiber optics, microwave links, and associated power infrastructure.
• Site Management: Coordinate site surveys, construction, installation, and commissioning activities across the Johannesburg region and surrounding areas.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise with clients, contractors, local municipalities, and utility providers to secure wayleaves and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks (technical, environmental, or logistical) and implement mitigation strategies.
• Budgeting & Cost Control: Track project costs, manage procurement of materials, and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all project activities adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality policies (OHS Act compliance).
• Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to management, highlighting milestones, delays, and resource requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
• Industry Knowledge: Demonstrable experience working on POTN or similar infrastructure projects
• Valid South African driver’s license and own reliable vehicle (willingness to travel to sites).
• Experience working with major South African telecom operators or power utilities.
