Job summary

A leading ISP/Telecoms company in South Africa is seeking Telecommunications Field Technicians to work in Gauteng and travel to various locations. The ideal candidate will have installation experience in LTE connectivity and strong communication skills. Must have a valid driver's license and transport. Overtime may be required, and training will be provided for working at heights.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and own transport are non-negotiable.
• No criminal record; checks will be conducted.
• At least 2 years of experience in installations of outdoor radios and telecom equipment for LTE connectivity.

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, and repairs of telecommunication links.
• Duties related to the installation and support of services.
• Working at heights; training provided.

Skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Job description

We are seeking Telecommunications Field Technicians in the Eastern Cape, Western Cape, KZN and JHB. Positions are available for Field Technicians to work with one of the most established and fastest growing ISP / Telecoms companies in South Africa. Province : Gauteng.

Must be willing to travel from time to time and stay overnight.

Overtime may be required which includes weekends; you will be compensated for this.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric – Grade 12
• Valid driver's license and own transport (non negotiable)
• No criminal record, checks will be done
• Must be presentable as you are client facing

Experience

• At least 2 years experience in installations of outdoor radios and telecom equipment for LTE connectivity

Qualifications

• Basic IP / routing experience with Mikrotik RouterOS / Mikrotik MTCNA

Knowledge

• Entry Level Networking
