Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Telecom Network Engineer specializing in Access Networks to join the infrastructure team in Soweto. You will design, implement, and optimize fixed and wireless access networks, including FTTH, DSL, and mobile backhaul, driving service delivery and customer satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in telecom access network design, with proficiency in GPON, FTTx, LTE, and 5G

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecom access network design and engineering.
• Proficiency with GPON, FTTx, LTE, and 5G deployment considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer access network solutions, including fiber optic and wireless systems.
• Plan and oversee the deployment of new network infrastructure and upgrades.
• Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for network expansion projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within the access network.
• Ensure network designs comply with standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with field operations teams for installation and maintenance.
