Qualifications

About the Role

We are scaling one of South Africa’s first four-wheeler EV fleets and need skilled Technicians to keep vehicles reliable, safe, and on the road. You’ll be part of our asset management team, working in the workshop on assembly, servicing, breakdowns, tyres, and maintenance of our EV fleet. You’ll also play a key role in managing spare parts to ensure fast turnarounds and cost efficiency.

What You’ll Do
  • Assemble new EV vehicles and ensure they are road ready.
  • Diagnose and repair breakdowns across the 4W fleet.
  • Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance, including tyre inspections, rotations, and replacements.
  • Support battery-related servicing and troubleshooting.
  • Manage spare parts effectively: request stock, track usage, and ensure availability.
  • Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor and Master Technician.
  • Keep accurate service and parts usage records in asset management systems.
  • Follow safety standards and ensure compliance in all workshop activities.
What You’ll Bring
  • 2–4 years’ experience as an automotive technician, mechanic, or EV/electrical technician.
  • Trade test, N6/NQF equivalent, or proven workshop experience.
  • Strong diagnostic skills, including use of electronic diagnostic tools.
  • Hands‑on experience with tyre fitting, balancing, and maintenance.
  • Experience in spare parts management (ordering, tracking, accountability).
  • Knowledge of EV systems or willingness to be trained in new EV technologies.
  • Ability to work as part of a workshop team under tight turnaround deadlines.
  • A problem‑solving mindset and commitment to safety.
