Job description
Introduction

Position available in ALBERTON for a technician to test, install, commission, service generator sets.

Desired Experience & Qualification: Trade qualification advantageous. Preferably Electrical / Millwright. Experienced in maintaining and repairing generators with a minimum of four years working in a similar role.

Strong electrical background with the ability to perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on diesel engines. Must be switch‑gear / change‑over compliant, mechanically skilled, and well versed with generator controller and synchronizing of gensets – experience with Deep Sea controllers is advantageous.

Must be able to perform accurate quality checks and complete all related paperwork thoroughly and neatly. Valid SA driver’s licence and South African citizenship required. Physically fit to perform daily tasks (standing for long hours, reaching, bending, lifting). Safety‑oriented with excellent skills in managing workload and time. Good communication skills.

Must reside in Ekurhuleni or be able to relocate prior to starting employment. Willing to travel for breakdowns and to work after hours, on weekends/public holidays, and standby.
