Job description
Position Overview

TTP Technologies is seeking a skilled Technical Support Technician to maintain, configure, and support all iSafe Control Room systems. The role involves managing hardware and software infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring continuous connectivity, and supporting control room operators in delivering a 24/7 safety monitoring service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain iSafe Control Dashboard servers, software, and network connections.
  • Provide immediate technical support to control room operators and supervisors.
  • Install, update, and configure hardware (network switches, LAN, Mikrotik fibre internet router, LTE wireless failover router, 4G tablets, call centre headset, telephone management, monitoring screen, workstation, mouse & keyboard, laptops & CCTV & access control).
  • Install, register & configure iSafe software (Software APPs, dashboard software, VMS).
  • Manage system accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Troubleshoot app integrations, GPS tracking, and communication link issues.
  • Monitor system performance and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with the iSafe Africa technical team and developers for backend support.
  • Ensure data backups, security protocols and recovery procedures are up to date.
  • Document technical issues, solutions, and update system logs regularly.
  • Support training sessions on new software or equipment for operators and field staff.
Minimum Requirements
  • Proven experience in IT support / system administration / network management.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows & Android systems, network configuration and CCTV platforms.
  • Experience with server management, software troubleshooting and app‑based systems.
  • Understanding of GPS/GIS platforms and API integrations an advantage.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and respond to emergencies quickly.
  • Willing to work standby rotations as part of a 24/7 operation.
