Job description
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Market Prospecting
  • Proactively identify and qualify sales leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and inbound inquiries.
  • Research key markets and customer segments to uncover business opportunities.
2. Sales Engagement & Negotiation
  • Present products or services to potential customers, highlighting benefits and value propositions.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and close sales agreements in line with company policies.
3. Customer & Distributor Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to foster repeat business and upsell additional products of services. This pertains to direct and customers and distributor channel.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve concerns with professionalism and urgency.
4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
  • Exceed and meet sales targets and KPIs as set by management.
  • Develop and manage sales forecasts and pipelines.
5. Product Expertise & Industry Knowledge
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the companyâs products or services and stay informed about industry trends.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers and address their questions.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with marketing, aftermarket service, and technical teams to align on sales strategy.
  • Participate in internal meetings and training initiatives to stay aligned with business goals.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum Requirements :
  • Matric.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales.
  • Strong understanding of the South African industrial, compressor markets and / or technical markets.
Preferred :
