Technical Sales – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Location : East Rand

Salary : R500 000 per annum plus petrol card and quarterly commission

Responsibilities
  • Manage the BESS product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.
  • Provide the sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable them to sell the product.
  • Effectively manage sales and promotional resources to achieve targeted sales within an agreed period.
  • Act as the first point of reference for all product-related enquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues in Product Development & Technical to address any issues that may arise.
  • Specify market requirements for current products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and non‑customers.
  • Develop and implement a company‑wide go‑to‑market plan, working with all departments to execute.
  • Analyze potential partner relationships for the product.
  • In collaboration with Marketing, be responsible for the development of advertising, promotion and sales aids in accordance with the BESS promotional plan.
  • Prepare product forecasts, monitor the market for tenders, enquiries and other sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and present BESS internal reports to the relevant executives, sales personnel and other departments on a regular basis.
Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary degree or work experience is a strong plus.
  • Not less than 3 years of relevant sales and business development experience.
  • Knowledgeable in the BESS industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
