Technical Operations Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Operations Lead to join our team.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining and optimising the technical systems, including ISO , ISO , ISO , FSSC, GMP, and environmental compliance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading technical teams, with a strong focus on quality management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.

Quality Management : Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management strategy that ensures operational excellence across the site.

Lead the laboratory function to provide real-time information and support to operations teams.

Establish training and development initiatives to ensure operational excellence at a shop floor level.

Strategic Environmental Management : Develop strategies to guide refinery operations towards compliance with local and national environmental laws.

Implement programmes and projects to achieve a continuous improvement approach for all waste streams.

Collaborate cross-functionally to find innovative and sustainable solutions for emerging environmental changes.

Stakeholder Engagement : Foster effective working relationships with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and key raw material suppliers.

Develop effective working relationships with customers to ensure technical support is available.

Compliance Monitoring : Enforce standards for trade metrology, food safety, environmental laws, and licencing.

Leadership and Management Control : Guide strategic decision-making, manage performance, coach teams, and oversee recruitment and training.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, science).

Extensive experience in technical leadership roles.

Strong understanding of quality management principles and practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
