What you will do:
- Design, implement, and manage SQL Server databases to support business operations and applications.
- Develop database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions to meet business requirements.
\ - Implement ETL processes to integrate data from multiple sources into SQL Server databases.
- Develop data migration scripts and workflows to facilitate seamless data transfer and transformation.
- Design and develop PowerApps applications to automate business processes, streamline workflows, and improve productivity.
- Customize and extend PowerApps using Power Platform connectors, formulas, and expressions.
- Utilize Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents) to build end-to-end solutions that leverage data analytics, automation, and AI-driven insights.
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with existing systems and applications to enhance functionality and usability.
- Customize and extend existing applications, interfaces, and workflows to meet evolving business needs.
- Conduct thorough testing of SQL databases, PowerApps, and Power Platform solutions to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance.
- Identify and address defects, bugs, and performance issues through debugging and troubleshooting.
- Document technical specifications, system configurations, and development processes for internal reference and knowledge sharing.
- Provide training and support to team members on SQL, PowerApps, and Power Platform development best practices.
- Design, develop, and optimize Power BI semantic models, including data modeling, relationships, and DAX calculations.
- Build and maintain data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, including Dataflows Gen2, Data Factory, and other relevant Fabric components.
- Utilize SQL for data querying, manipulation, and transformation within the Fabric environment, including working with SQL databases and Synapse Data Warehouse.
- Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and other team members to gather requirements, communicate insights, and ensure successful delivery of data solutions.
- Optimize the performance of Power BI reports, semantic models, and data pipelines to ensure efficient and scalable solutions.
- Implement and maintain data governance and security practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.
- Manage and maintain the Fabric environment, configuring compute, storage, and other resources while monitoring performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Keep up to date with the latest features and updates in Power BI, Fabric, and related technologies, recommending best practices for implementation.
What we ask for:
- Experience with SQL database management and support
- Experience with .NET programming language and Visual Studio
- Experience of data modelling with SQL Server, Query Analyzer, Enterprise Management Studio
- Previous participation in software projects and software solution implementations
- Understanding of business process modelling and analysis
- Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)
- Understanding of IT project management standards (PMI / Prince2)
- Strong understanding of Power BI, including semantic model design, DAX, and data visualization best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Dataflows, Data Factory, and other relevant components.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and architectures.
- Knowledge of data modelling techniques and best practices.
- Experience with data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, is a plus.
