A consulting company in KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, is seeking a skilled technician to manage stock and equipment for installations. The ideal candidate has a technical background, experience in equipment maintenance, and computer literacy. Key responsibilities include stock management, equipment testing, and supporting installation technicians while ensuring safety compliance.
Manage equipment and component stock for installation and service.
Prepare, assemble, and test equipment prior to on-site installation.
Assess returned or faulty equipment for repair, refurbishment, or disposal.
Maintain accurate stock and maintenance records (manual & ERP systems).
Support installation technicians with technical guidance and troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and proper PPE usage.
Conduct periodic stock counts and equipment inspections.
Technical or mechanical background (Electrical, Mechanical, or Heavy Equipment).
Hands‑on experience with equipment assembly, repair, and maintenance.
Ability to work independently and support a team.
Driver's license and reliable transport.
Computer literacy (MS Office, ERP / stock management systems).
