The Department of Civil Engineering Technology offers accredited engineering programmes. The department offers Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BEng Tech) and Bachelor of Engineering Technology honours (BEng Tech hons) programs. The candidate will be expected to prepare and supervise laboratory practicals for undergraduate student and assist postgraduate students with research practicals.

Minimum Requirements
  • Relevant Qualification (Diplomas and Certification) (NQF 6)
  • Minimum of three (3) years' of appropriate laboratory experience
Competencies And Behavioural Attributes
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) with high level of proficiency in English.
  • Computer literacy
Recommendations
  • BTech degree: Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Knowledge of SABS test methods
  • Prior experience in working with a diverse group of people, preferably in a supervisory capacity, will be an added advantage
  • Experience in health and safety practices will be an advantage
