Join theNational Chamber of Milling as a Technical & Operations Executive, leading the management of technical, regulatory, and operational activities in support of our mission and Board-driven strategic objectives.

Your focus will be on advancing food safety, quality, and compliance across both raw commodities and processed products, while strengthening industry relationships and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage technical committees and drive food safety, quality, and research initiatives across grain and milled products.
  • Engage and represent NCM with government, regulatory entities, and industry value chain partners.
  • Oversee compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks; develop guidelines and audit processes.
  • Collaborate with training units and lead operational teams in finance, technical, and administration.
  • Develop and execute operational strategies, budgets, and risk management plans.
  • Lead staff support and management, fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Oversee industry event and project management.
  • Provide regular operational, technical, and financial reports to the Executive Director and Board.
Requirements
  • Milling qualification (SAGMA / Swiss Milling School advantageous).
  • Degree or diploma in Food Science / Technology (BTech considered).
  • At least 5 years' milling industry experience (wheat or maize).
  • Proven leadership and operational management track record.
  • Knowledge of food safety, compliance, governance, and industry regulatory frameworks (GMP, PRP, HACCP).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
  • Self‑driven, diplomatic, and detail‑oriented with sound problem‑solving abilities.
