Main Purpose of the Job

Eagles Pride Hatchery, the largest independent supplier of day old chicks to the commercial market, has a vacancy for a Technical Advisor in Pretoria.

The Technical Advisor will be responsible for technical assistance focusing on day old placements and problem farms.

Assistance will be provided to contract growers with technical advice and guidance and assisting the consulting veterinarians.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 3 years relevant broiler breeder experience.
• A relevant agricultural degree or diploma will be a definite advantage.
• The candidate must have very good people skills and be an outstanding communicator on all levels.
• Marketing experience with the main focus on customer service is a must.
• Honesty, integrity and the ability to earn trust amongst customers are some of the characteristics required for this position.
• Due to operational requirements, the Technical Advisor has to travel extensively and be able to work long hours.
• The candidate must be vibrant and confident and be able to operate without supervision.
• Good negotiating and persuasion skills.
