Purpose of the Job
Proactive Health will be responsible for the operational management of the preventative health and wellness services within Corporate wellness.
This position is aimed at a dynamic, performance‑oriented and client‑focused individual who can deliver quality output whilst at the same time working effectively with people both internally and externally.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the operational management of the wellness benefits in Medical Schemes: Physical activity, Nutrition, Lifestyle coaching, Wellness app, Maternity benefit, Physical Activity and Nutrition
- Managing the strategic growth and maintenance of the dietitian and biokineticist provider networks.
- Proactively drive and manage the training and development of the relevant network providers.
- Responsible for query escalations and resolution including benefit preauthorisation's and claims queries.
- Oversee the compliance management and progress of all beneficiaries on the respective benefits, and ensure appropriate communication is provided to members.
- Responsible for the enhancement and benchmarking of benefits as well as developing training material and updating forms, protocol, process flows, provider manuals and system changes.
- Monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Review and ensure compliance to industry best practice protocols annually.
- Assist with the development and support the lifestyle coaching strategy.
- Build the Universal Coach network.
- Oversee the planning, driving and tracking of the lifestyle coaching programmes.
- Ensure coaching programme processes and timelines are adhered to.
- Data analysis and reporting.
- Research industry trends and present recommendations for app enhancement.
- Research and content development for inclusion in the app.
- Conduct UAT and provide feedback as per set timelines.
- Manage the process of procurement and distribution of the maternity bag benefit.
- Manage the performance of all reporting team members, providing support, training and coaching where required.
- Assess training needs of team members and provide recommendations on the nature and extent of training required.
- Monitor time and attendance and leave of team members on a monthly basis.
- Schedule weekly team meetings to ensure open and clear communication to all team members.
- Continuously work towards a positive working team environment, and provide suggestions / practical steps to encourage this compliance responsibilities.
- Conduct standard operating procedure and ideal workflow review on an annual basis.
- Continuously research on current and new Corporate Wellness services.
- Manage the annual review and approval of departmental collateral.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Health related degree e.g. Biokinetics, Dietetics or Nursing Science or Health Coaching qualification and Accreditation.
- Registered with the applicable council / board / association.
- Extensive knowledge about physical activity, nutrition, wellness and health promotion.
- Previous wellness benefit experience will be beneficial.
