Job Summary

The Team Leader will oversee a small team of marketing and sales consultants, coordinate promotional campaigns, and drive sales performance across academic seasons. The role supports both in-store and outreach efforts, including institutional partnerships, student engagement, and campus activations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate the sales and marketing team to meet monthly targets.
  • Develop and implement promotional campaigns aligned with academic calendars.
  • Coordinate outreach initiatives to universities, colleges, and student groups.
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare weekly reports for management.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure high service standards.
  • Assist with stock planning and product positioning in-store and online.
  • Represent the bookstore at academic events, expos, and campus activations.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Matric) with post-school qualification in marketing, business, or communications preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in sales, marketing, or customer service.
  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital marketing tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a small team.
  • Knowledge of academic retail or campus-based marketing will be an advantage.
Compensation & Working Hours
  • Basic salary: R per month.
  • Target-based compensation: Reach targets and get compensated, with opportunities for bonuses and incentives.

Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00–19:00; weekends 08:00–19:00 (two weekends off and two weekends in).
