Job Overview

Applications are sought for a suitably qualified and experienced Secondary Teacher to join our Art and Design team at the Howard Springs Middle / Senior campus on a permanent, full‑time basis. For a suitable candidate there is also an opportunity to lead the growth of our Arts and Design curriculum and to contribute to leadership more broadly.

Responsibilities

Teach Visual Art to secondary students, develop, establish, implement, and monitor learning and curriculum, and contribute to the shaping of curriculum, pedagogy and pathways that support students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological growth. Work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

Experience teaching and a deep understanding of Visual Art as a curriculum area. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in developing, establishing, implementing and monitoring learning and curriculum. Experience teaching other subjects is favourable but not required.
