Job summary

Abbotts High School, part of Advtech, is seeking a dynamic Senior/FET Teacher to lead instructional programmes and guide students toward mastery in the FET phase. You will plan, organise, and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with IEB standards and contribute to a culture of academic excellence.

The role requires a relevant degree with PGCE or B.Ed, SACE registration, and 2–5 years of FET teaching experience.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree (NQF 7) with PGCE or B.Ed (FET phase), with subject specialisation (IEB preferred).
• Valid SACE registration and police clearance are essential.
• 2–5 years’ teaching experience, including FET subject specialisation.
• Strong digital literacy and confidence using educational technology.
• First Aid certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality academic delivery aligned with IEB standards.
• Design, implement, and evaluate assessments; provide timely feedback.
• Support student development and create an inclusive, respectful learning environment.

As a Senior / FET Teacher, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering high-quality instructional programmes within the Snr/FET phase. You will guide and inspire students to reach their full academic potential while equipping them with the skills needed for life beyond school.
