Qualifications

• Admitted Attorney or Chartered Accountant with 3+ years post articles experience within a Tax practice.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Tax is a prerequisite.
• Corporate Tax and Tax Dispute Resolution experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, drafting and written communication skills.
• Strong technical skills to support the client work of the Practice Area.
• Ability to administer and execute instructions with minimal supervision.
• Strong organisational skills, meticulous and high attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise and coordinate work to meet deadlines in a pressurised environment.
• Ability to work well in both a team and individually with a client service orientation.
• Show interest in what is happening around you and understand external political/economic factors affecting clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to clients on matters within a specialized tax practice including corporate, tax exchange controls, disposals, acquisitions, empowerment transactions, share incentive and other commercial transactions.
• Provide legal opinions and advice to clients on various tax issues.
• Provide tax input on transaction structures.
• Tax litigation and litigation support.
